Russian President Vladimir Putin said today, Thursday, that Joe Biden's "crazy" remark shows why the Kremlin feels that Biden will be Russia’s preferred future American president over Donald Trump.
Putin said to the state television with a slight smile: "We are ready to work with any president, but I believe Biden is the preferred president for us regarding Russia, and based on what he just said, I am completely right."
Putin added: "It’s not as if he can say to me: Hey Volodya, thank you, well done, you helped me a lot. He asked me what is best for us." I said it then, and I still think I can repeat it: Biden".
The Kremlin earlier said that Biden insulted the United States when he described Putin as "crazy" during a fundraising event in San Francisco on Wednesday.
The Russian president said earlier this month that he prefers Biden to Trump as president of the United States because Biden was "more experienced" and "predictable."
