Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas confirmed today, Wednesday, the necessity of immediate intervention by the American administration, and pressure on the Israeli occupation government to stop its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, for which the innocent Palestinian people are paying the price, who are subjected to an unprecedented genocide war, claiming the lives of more than 60,000 civilians, children, women, and elderly among martyrs and injured.
This came during his reception at the Palestinian presidency headquarters in the city of Ramallah, the White House envoy, National Security Advisor to the US Vice President Philip Gordon.
The Palestinian president confirmed that the Israeli killing machine has violated all sanctities by targeting civilians, hospitals, and shelter centers, leaving no safe place for the Palestinian people to refuge from these massacres committed without accountability by the international community.
The Palestinian president continued: "We will not allow the forced displacement of our Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip or in the West Bank including Jerusalem."
He emphasized the necessity of American intervention to prevent what the Israeli occupation authorities and settlers are carrying out of assaults, killing crimes, home demolitions, and displacement of the Palestinian population in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Jordan Valley areas, which are witnessing silent and planned annexation.
The Palestinian president also stressed the need to double the entry of relief, medical, and food materials, and to provide water, electricity, and fuel as soon as possible, and to provide the necessary assistance so that hospitals and essential facilities can resume their work treating thousands of the wounded.
He said: "We will not and have not abandoned our people in the Gaza Strip no matter the sacrifices, and the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian state, and the plans of the occupation authorities to separate, occupy, cut off, or isolate any part of the Gaza Strip are completely rejected and will not be allowed to be implemented," stressing the necessity of releasing the clearance revenues and Palestinian taxes held by the Israeli occupation authorities.
The Palestinian president explained that starting the implementation of the two-state solution based on international legitimacy resolutions requires the State of Palestine to obtain full membership in the United Nations by a Security Council resolution, and convening the international peace conference, to provide international guarantees and a timetable for implementation, and to take full responsibility for the entire Palestinian land in the West Bank including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
Confirming that peace and security are achieved through ending the Israeli occupation of all the land of the State of Palestine on the lines of 1967, with its capital East Jerusalem, and resolving the refugee issue and their return according to Resolution 194, stressing that security and military solutions have proven their failure and will not achieve security and stability for the region.
