A tunnel offering visitors a completely new view of Niagara Falls was recently opened.
Walking through the tunnel allows visitors to stand on an eye-level observation platform to see both sides of the falls, the Canadian and the American.
To see the stunning view, the elevator takes visitors 180 feet down under the historic Niagara Parks Power Station to the tunnel located beneath the Niagara Power Cathedral.
Visitors can then walk through the 2200-foot-long tunnel and exit onto a viewing platform at the river’s edge with views of the falls.
Marcelo Grosso, the station's engineering manager, said in a social media post: "The tunnel is an engineering marvel."
"You can feel it, you can smell the water, you can basically touch it. This is what you experience when you are on this platform."
The Tunnel at the Niagara Parks Power Station will open to the public as our newest guest experience this summer! Explore the tunnel deep below the power station, then step out onto a viewing platform with spectacular views of Niagara Falls!
