A winter storm expected to last several days has prompted snowfall warnings in Northern Ontario communities on Thursday.
The Canadian Environment Ministry said in a series of weather alerts: “Low pressure is expected to affect the area starting tonight and continue until Saturday. Heavy snow is expected at times and snowfall.”
The ministry also added, "Rapid snow accumulation may make travel difficult. Visibility will suddenly drop to near zero at times under heavy snowfall."
