The new exhibition, scheduled to open at the end of this week at the Military Museum in Calgary, celebrates the resilience of military immigrants.

The exhibition "A Multicolored Uniform Coat, Military Immigrants in Alberta" reveals diverse stories of immigrants to Alberta who served in the military and showcases their details.

One of these, Ian Fred Kozer, born in the UK and served in the Royal Air Force, shared his story about the day he accidentally shot down another fighter in the British Royal Air Force over Germany.

Kozer said: "I think people should come here and learn about military history in Calgary."

"And Calgarians have the right to be proud not only of their army but also of the army of immigrants who came to live in this great country."

From June 11 to September 11, it will be exhibited at the Military Museum in Calgary, showcasing the contributions of Alberta residents who served with one of more than 20 different countries around the world.
