Ontario: Heat warning for the fourth consecutive day and possibility of thunderstorms at the beginning of next week

Many areas in Southern Ontario, including Windsor Essex, remain under heat warnings for the fourth consecutive day on Friday, with harsh conditions expected to continue through Saturday.

Many areas in the province have experienced hot and humid weather this week, with daytime temperatures.

Forecasts indicate temperatures nearing the thirties with humidity in most areas today, with humidity reaching 40 degrees on Saturday.

The meteorological agency said that overnight low temperatures near 20 degrees Celsius in most areas will not ease the heat.

It says there is a chance for the heat to extend into Sunday, but cooler temperatures are expected by then.

Friday: A mix of sun and clouds. High 31. Humidex 36. UV index 9 or very high.

- Friday night: Clear. Increasing clouds before morning. Low 20.

- Saturday: Partly cloudy. 40% chance of rain late morning and afternoon with a risk of thunderstorms.

West winds 40 km/h gusting to 70. High 31. Humidex 39. UV index 8 or very high.

- Sunday: Cloudy with a 60 percent chance of rain. High 29.

- Monday: A mix of sun and clouds. High 28.

- Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds. High 29.
