Spanish media reports revealed today, Wednesday, that Inter Miami has terminated the contract of its goalkeeper Nick Marsman, due to Lionel Messi's arrival in the American league through his club. Marca confirmed that Inter Miami terminated the contract of its goalkeeper Nick Marsman, who had previously doubted the club's ability to sign Lionel Messi.

Marca indicated that the club exercised its right to terminate the contract of the Dutch goalkeeper, who is now a free agent at the age of 32, as league rules only allow teams to break one player's contract. Therefore, it is clear that his harsh comments did not sit well with the management.

Marsman commented some time ago on the possibility of his team signing Messi, stating in an interview with ESPN: "Personally, I think the club is not ready for Messi's arrival. We have a temporary stadium, people can walk on the field, there are no gates, and we leave for the stadium without security. I think they are not ready, but I hope he comes."

The goalkeeper is currently recovering at home after spending time in the hospital. He recently suffered a bite from a venomous spider while visiting a zoo, and his health deteriorated significantly.

Messi has continued his remarkable scoring record with Inter Miami, having raised his tally to 7 goals, in addition to an assist, during his participation in 4 matches since his first game with the American team on July 22, with a total of 324 minutes played, averaging a goal every 46 minutes.

Messi successfully opened his scoring account with Inter Miami against Mexican club Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup, and then scored two goals against Atlanta United in the same tournament.
