A spokesperson for Mercedes-Benz confirmed today, Tuesday, that the German car manufacturer has recalled about 250,000 cars worldwide.

This recall had been previously published in the database of the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Germany, and the office clarified that the models concerned in the recall are AMG GT, C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, S-Class, and SL manufactured in 2023.

The number of cars affected by the recall in Germany is likely to exceed 37,000 vehicles.

According to the spokesperson, some valves may not meet technical requirements. The Federal Motor Transport Authority stated that this defect can lead to engine failure, among other things, and the risk of fire cannot be ruled out.

The Mercedes spokesperson explained that some parts in the affected vehicles will be replaced as a precautionary measure, and pointed out that the repairs will be carried out free of charge, noting that the duration of the vehicle's stay in the workshop will range from two hours to five and a half hours depending on the preparation process.
