At least 5 people were killed and 234 injured due to the leakage of a toxic gas from one of the tanks at the Jordanian port of Aqaba.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that during the daily operations at the Aqaba port today, an incident occurred where a tank filled with toxic gas fell during transportation, leading to a gas leak at the site.
He indicated that the incident has resulted so far in five deaths and 234 injuries.
He added that the area was immediately isolated and specialists began dealing with the incident while the civil defense transported a number of the injured to the hospital, and all of them are under treatment.
