The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Jordan, Ayman Safadi, discussed with the Canadian Minister of International Development, Harjit Sajjan, opportunities to expand economic cooperation between the two countries in fields including agriculture, water, energy, trade, and benefiting from Jordanian competencies in the Canadian labor market.
This came during his reception of the Canadian minister today, Wednesday, according to the Jordanian news agency "Petra".
Safadi and Sajjan confirmed the effectiveness of coordination channels in developmental fields, and the keenness to develop the strong friendship relations between Jordan and Canada.
Safadi appreciated Canada's efforts in supporting the developmental process in the Kingdom and helping Jordan to face economic challenges and the repercussions of regional crises, especially the burden of refugee influx.
The two ministers reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and efforts to resolve crises in the region.
The Canadian minister affirmed his country's keenness to deepen cooperation relations with the Kingdom, expressing his country's appreciation for the Kingdom's leading role in efforts to enhance security and stability in the region.
