New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh stated that his party is currently putting pressure on the Liberal government; aiming to fund contraceptives.
In British Columbia, he indicated that the New Democratic Party is funding contraceptives in the province.

The New Democratic Party announced that it is currently negotiating with the federal government regarding the provision of a national drug care program.
Jagmeet Singh added that if we succeed in British Columbia; we must generalize the experience across the country; seeking to provide comprehensive coverage, and he said that the New Democrats are working in their talks with the Liberals on covering the cost of drug care.
He also confirmed that their efforts are approaching the final position in this regard, and in his press statement in British Columbia, he mentioned that these efforts inform everyone that they all have the right to decide what they want regarding their bodies, and we assist them in this by breaking down the barriers that may hinder that, and providing the means for it.
