The Palestinian Prisoners Club stated today, Wednesday, that the Israeli prison administration has imposed a double and comprehensive isolation on security detainees, pointing to "revenge measures that fall under the crime of collective punishment," since the start of Hamas's attack on Israel on Saturday morning.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club mentioned in a press statement on Wednesday that the prison administration informed the detainees that these measures came by orders from the military leadership, and that the prison administration is now subject to the orders of the army and its management, and that any event in the prisons will be managed by the army.

In addition to the isolation already imposed on detainees, additional isolation has been imposed since Saturday at different levels, as part of a series of revenge measures taken by the occupation against them within the framework of the crime of "collective punishment."

Among these measures are the withdrawal of all designated television stations for the detainees, the suspension of visits from lawyers and their families, in addition to increasing the jamming devices. The children, female detainees, and sick individuals in the (Ramla Prison clinic) have also been deprived of communication with their families through the public phone, along with obstructing the work of human rights organizations concerned with detainee issues, and the significant difficulties faced by legal teams.

There are great and escalating fears for the fate of the detainees amid the rise in revenge measures against them, and the continuation of their double isolation.

The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" revealed that the head of the Israeli Prison Service, Katy Perry, ordered today (Wednesday) to cut off electricity from the security wings in all prisons, with the purpose of preventing security prisoners from contacting the outside world and directing terrorism via smuggled phones that they will not be able to charge.
This new directive joins the decision made by Perry on Saturday to keep all security prisoners in their cells. It was also decided at the beginning of the war to remove all public phones from the prisons.

In December of last year, Katzir prison guards seized mobile phones, knives, and Japanese screwdrivers during the inspections they conducted in the Fatah prisoners' wing. The inspections began after interviews with Palestinian media conducted by one of the security detainees from inside the prison using a mobile phone that had been smuggled into the prison.

The security forces received a signal regarding the interviews conducted by him from Dhafar Al-Rimawi prison, where he uttered incitement words and praised Jawad and Dufar Al-Rimawi, his nephew's sons who were killed a few days earlier in clashes with Israeli army forces in the Ramallah area. This was broadcast via loudspeakers in front of a large crowd in the village of Beit Rima.
