The Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate announced today, Monday, the arrest of nine terrorists in the provinces of Anbar and Nineveh.
The directorate clarified - in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that according to accurate intelligence information from the tenth and sixteenth division command branches affiliated with the Military Intelligence Directorate, well-planned ambushes were set in various areas of the two provinces.
The ambushes resulted in the arrest of 9 individuals accused of terrorism belonging to the terrorist organization "ISIS" under the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law in the districts of Ramadi and Mosul, indicating that they were handed over to the relevant authorities.
This comes at a time when military operations and security measures are escalating amid security concerns about the recurrence of violations and attacks by ISIS on security points and areas; these diligent efforts aim to put an end to the rumors and claims that try to instill fear among citizens and reaffirm the security and military institution's control over the security situation in the country.
