Moroccan security forces, in cooperation with the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), arrested a person loyal to the "ISIS" organization in the city of Berkane, northeastern country, involved in "preparing a terrorist project," according to the Moroccan News Agency, Friday.
The agency quoted the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance as saying that "the accused sought to recruit those imbued with takfiri thought," to carry out operations against Moroccan and foreign interests and personalities.
The directorate clarified that "the suspect had previous contact with the leader of a terrorist cell, which was dismantled in the city of Oujda last year."
