Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Online videos show a raging fire at an oil depot in the Saudi city of Jeddah ahead of the Formula 1 race. The Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility for attacking the kingdom.
The videos came on Friday with a large black smoke cloud seen from afar, while at the same time training for the race continued.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The Saudi state oil company and state media did not immediately acknowledge the incident. However, this comes days after a similar attack on an oil depot in Jeddah.
The Al Masirah TV channel, run by the Houthi rebels in Yemen, said more details about their attacks would be revealed later, while it did not immediately declare that the Houthis were behind the Jeddah fire.
