The police in Halifax said a 22-year-old man was injured after a shooting early in the morning in downtown Halifax.
Halifax Regional Police were called to the 1600 block of Argyle Street after 3:30 a.m. to report a man shot "in the lower part of the torso."
The police said in a statement that the man was injured with non-life-threatening wounds and was taken to the hospital.
The police closed pedestrian and vehicle access on the street between Argyle and Grafton streets on Sunday as part of the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
