After a day of service disruption on Friday, Rogers company said Saturday morning that services have been restored to the "vast majority" of its customers.
The company tweeted around 7 a.m. Eastern Canada time about this matter saying:
"As our services come back online and traffic volume returns to normal, some customers may experience delays in full service restoration."
The Rogers Communications network, the largest mobile phone and internet network in Canada, experienced a major outage today that caused paralysis across all sectors in the country. According to NetBlocks, a website concerned with internet affairs, the communications and internet service outage began at 4:30 a.m. and its impact extended to ATMs and hotlines in addition to government operations affected by the major outages experienced by the network amid pledges by the company’s leadership to work on resolving the issue that affected the entire country as soon as possible.
So far, the reasons for the communication outage of this giant network have not been announced. This is the second such outage it has experienced in 15 months.
