News agencies reported that a French priest was injured after being stabbed with a knife during a mass in the city of Nice, France, this Sunday morning.
Immediately, the French Interior Minister reported that the incident occurred this morning and resulted in a priest being stabbed, and security forces were able to arrest the attacker.
No further details about the incident have been disclosed.
Later, the French Interior Minister announced on Sunday the arrest of a suspect in the attack on a French priest with a knife during a mass in Nice.
The Interior Minister said in a tweet on Twitter that a priest was attacked and injured in the (lung) during a mass at a church in Nice.
Une agression a eu lieu ce matin dans une église à Nice. Le prêtre est blessé. Pas de pronostic vital engagé. Solidarité avec les paroissiens et merci aux forces de l’ordre qui ont interpellé rapidement l’auteur. Le Préfet est sur place.
