The International Football Federation "FIFA" announced today, Thursday, the opening of the voting for fans on the world's best awards The Best after the announcement of the names of the nominees for the various awards.
The FIFA awards for the best in the world include 9 awards: Best Female Player, Best Male Player, Best Women's Coach, Best Men's Coach, Best Female Goalkeeper, Best Male Goalkeeper, Fair Play Award, Puskás Award (for the Best Goal of the Year), FIFA Fan Award.
FIFA stated in its official announcement about the Best awards this year: "The period from August 1, 2022, to August 20, 2023, the date of the Women's World Cup final, will be considered for evaluating the performance of women's football elements for the awards: Best Female Player, Best Female Goalkeeper, and Best Women's Coach."
It added: "As for the men's football awards, the period from December 19 to August 20, 2023, will be considered to determine the nominees for the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Best Men's Coach awards."
FIFA's statement concluded: "Voting by fans for all the categories mentioned above will start through FIFA's digital platforms on September 14, when the shortlisted nominees will be announced," noting, "As for the voting for the Puskás Award, which will be awarded for the best goal recorded between December 19, 2022, and August 20, 2023, it will start on September 21."
