An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter scale and a depth of 12 km strikes central Turkey.

The Turkish Disaster Management announced that an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale occurred in central Turkey this morning, Tuesday, with its epicenter in "Adana" at a depth of more than 11 km, without reporting any damages or negative effects.

It is noteworthy that devastating earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 occurred on February 6th in Kahramanmaraş, southeastern Turkey.

Residents felt the earthquake in 11 provinces across the country and neighboring countries, including Syria.

Turkish authorities described the February earthquake as a "disaster of the century," with the death toll reaching 50,500.
