A 56-year-old man died after being stabbed multiple times in a home in Pickering yesterday, Friday. Likewise, the Durham Regional Police said they were called to a home near Rosebank Street and Shepard Street shortly after 7 PM. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from serious stab wounds, who was later transported to a Toronto hospital, where he was pronounced dead after severe bleeding.
In the same context, Shawn Sitaram stated that a suspect was arrested later with the help of Toronto Police. When asked about the relationship between the suspect and the victim, Sitaram said he could not provide this information at this time, as the homicide unit has taken over the ongoing investigation.
Additionally, Durham Police stated that the crime rate in the county has noticeably increased recently, and they called on any witness to the crime or anyone with information to contact them directly.
