The Iraqi News Agency announced that 13 people, most of them Iranians, died in a road accident in Iraq.
The agency added that 17 were injured in the accident that occurred on a road connecting two cities in Salah al-Din province in northern Iraq.
The Director General of Health in Salah al-Din, Khalid Burhan, stated that the accident took place on the road linking Dijail and Samarra.
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted Burhan as saying, "A horrific traffic accident on the road connecting the district of Dijail and Samarra resulted in the death of 13 visitors and injured 16 in critical condition," noting that "most of the deceased are from Iran."
