The Times Higher Education magazine has released its list of the world's leading universities in addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and the list includes five universities from Canada among the top 100.
The University of Alberta ranked sixth globally and first overall in North America, moving up one spot from its 2023 ranking.
Queen's University in Kingston was followed closely by a university in Ontario, ranking eighth globally, but unfortunately dropped five spots from third place in the 2023 ranking.
Simon Fraser University and Victoria, while SFU ranked 13th and 17th respectively, seem to have made significant strides in addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as it climbed into the top twenty from 86th last year.
Finally, Laval University ranked nineteenth, dropping five spots from last year.
This ranking evaluated 2,152 universities from 125 regions.
