Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said on Wednesday that all diplomatic dialogues with India will remain "private."
This comes after India set a deadline of October 10 for Canada to reduce its diplomatic presence.
During a press conference addressing the war between Israel and Palestinian factions, Joly told the media that the dialogue should remain private.
The Canadian Foreign Minister stated that "diplomacy is always better when discussions remain private."
So far, Canadian diplomats are still present in New Delhi. According to high-ranking government sources in Canada, CBC News reported that "all or most Canadian diplomats are still in India."
