US President Joe Biden said today, Tuesday, that Israel has agreed not to carry out military activities in the Gaza Strip during the month of Ramadan.
Biden warned that Israel risks losing support from the rest of the world as Palestinian martyrs continue to fall in large numbers.

Biden added, in an interview with NBC, that Israel committed to enabling Palestinians to evacuate from Rafah in southern Gaza before intensifying its campaign there to destroy Hamas.

Biden pointed out that there is a principle agreement on a ceasefire between the two sides while the detainees held by Hamas are released.

He said, "Ramadan is approaching, and there was an agreement among the Israelis not to carry out any activities during Ramadan, to give ourselves time to bring out all the hostages."

The US president continued by saying that the temporary ceasefire may help towards a two-state solution and normalization with Saudi Arabia.
