The French newspaper "Le Figaro" reported today, Wednesday, that the head of one of the mosques in the city of Lyon, France, will file a complaint after finding "Islamophobic" phrases on the wall at the entrance of the mosque.
The newspaper explained: "A member of the French Mosques Council and the president of the Cuba Mosque, Jamal Hilal, will file a complaint after finding Islamophobic phrases on the wall at the entrance of the mosque on Wednesday afternoon."
The newspaper also added that "the director of a Muslim shop in the sixth district of Lyon was also subjected to hostile messages last Monday after expressing support for the Palestinian people on social media, and phrases were placed on the shop."
Jamāl Hilal, member of the French Mosques Council, confirmed: "We are facing an increase in Islamophobic and anti-Semitic acts that have no place on French soil."
