A court document showed that the Colorado Supreme Court ruled yesterday, Tuesday, that former President Donald Trump is ineligible to hold office again.

The Supreme Court of the US state of Colorado ruled that former President Donald Trump is ineligible to run in the Republican primary elections for the presidential race in this state because of what he did during the storming of the Congress building by a crowd of his supporters in 2021.

The court stated in its decision that it concluded "that Trump is not eligible to hold the office of president under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution."

It added that "since he is not eligible, it would be unlawful under election law for the Colorado Secretary of State to include his name on the list of candidates for the presidential primary election."

The implementation of the court's decision is suspended until January 4, the deadline for appealing it before the US Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump's spokesman condemned the "anti-democratic" decision issued by the Colorado Supreme Court, promising to appeal it before the Supreme Court.

Stephen Chong, spokesman for the Trump campaign, said in a statement that "the Colorado Supreme Court issued this evening a completely flawed decision, and we will quickly turn to the United States Supreme Court to request a complete suspension of this anti-democratic decision."
