Air Canada announced big discount offers aimed at helping students who travel frequently for studies and then return to their home countries.

The Air Canada Flight Pass allows for booking credits in advance which can later be exchanged for one-way flights, with an additional discount for university students, according to statements from Air Canada.

The card is a pre-booked bundle for one-way flights, which can be exchanged for travel between specific regions during a certain period.

To clarify, instead of purchasing separate flights between two locations, either as round trips or one-way, you pay in advance for a set of one-way credits that can be exchanged when you decide to travel, and each one-way trip counts as one credit. The starting package for any region is four credits, which means two round trips.

A discounted price is offered for both local and international university students, but you must ensure to read the fine print and details for each ticket before booking.

As for the Student Pass package, it is a special and affordable bundle of one-way flight credits either in standard or flexible mode, which can be used for travel within North America or to international destinations. It is also ideal for students traveling between Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Victoria, as well as selected destinations in British Columbia. In this case, all trips must start or end in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, or Victoria for your credits to apply.

It is worth noting that the student package is limited to approved options, while the regular adult commuter passes for the Western Commuter packages are limited to 10 flight credits or unlimited travel for three or six months, as students are not provided with the option for unlimited travel.

For the option of 10 flight credits for adults, each credit (flight) is valued at $371.70, whereas if you choose the four-student package, each credit is worth $195.25, in addition to what the airline offers as an affordable monthly payment plan for those who prefer not to pay upfront.

Flight tickets are also extended to include international students in Canada who may want to travel back to their home countries frequently.
