The GDP of Canada did not change in July, as the services sector grew slightly while the goods-producing industries contracted.
Statistics Canada reported on Friday that the overall value of the Canadian economy did not change in July, with zero percent growth. Economists were expecting a slight increase of about 0.1 percent.
The manufacturing sector also contracted by 1.5%, the largest decline in more than two years.
