Multiple sources told CTV News Edmonton that the 16-year-old teenager who killed two police officers in Edmonton on Thursday is the same person who shot a Pizza Hut employee earlier this week.
The police said Thursday evening that the teenager also shot his mother, who was in the hospital, before dying from gunshot wounds.
Several sources also confirmed that the teenager was responsible for an early Sunday morning shooting that seriously injured a 55-year-old man.
The shooter entered the Pizza Hut at 114 Avenue and 132 Street around 12:30 AM on Sunday and shot the employee.
The police released a photo and description of the shooter on Monday evening, describing him as wearing a large black coat, tight black pants or jeans, and black shoes.
The restaurant is one street away from the shooting on Thursday.
