Dill Pickle Flavored Vodka is being pulled from shelves in Ontario after pieces of glass were found inside at least one bottle.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a recall for the Sask Prairie brand Dill Pickle Flavored Vodka on August 8, warning retailers and customers not to use, sell, or distribute the product.
The agency said the recall was issued "due to pieces of glass." It is unclear how much glass was found or how many bottles.
The agency said the recalled product was sold in Ontario and is intended for 750 ml liquor bottles.
CFIA classified the recall as Class 3, which according to its website means there is a "low risk that consumption may cause any undesirable health effects."
The website states: "This class also includes foods that do not pose a health risk but do not comply with legislation."
The drink was produced by Minhas Sask Ventures. CTV News Toronto also contacted the company to determine how many products are affected by the recall.
