Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto, commenting on calls to impose an oil embargo on Israel, said that his country would support any measures in OPEC to encourage Israel and Palestine to dialogue.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian called for a ban on oil supplies to Israel, as well as holding Tel Aviv accountable for the "war crimes" it committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Venezuelan minister also added: "We have not yet seen any discussions about the oil embargo, but Arab countries have discussed this issue. We do not export oil to Israel. We have no diplomatic relations with this country. But we will support any measures adopted in OPEC aimed at resolving the situation so that dialogue can be established between the conflicting parties."
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister described what is happening now in Palestine as a "crime" and a "violation of all international agreements in the field of humanitarian law."
He also said: "Israel is committing genocide. We insist on a ceasefire without any conditions. Humanitarian aid acceptance must also be organized."
