The Canadian Prime Minister announced a new package of sanctions imposed on Russian individuals and companies accused of participating in the Russian war on Ukraine. Also, in this regard, Justin Trudeau published a statement on his official website explaining that his country imposed new sanctions on individuals and companies involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Additionally, Trudeau added that the new sanctions target 35 individuals, senior officials in energy companies, including 6 major companies involved in Russian violations of Ukrainian sovereignty. In the same context, Trudeau mentioned in his statement that Canada will impose strict sanctions on individuals in the security and judiciary bodies, and police officers. Also, the Prime Minister pledged to cooperate with international partners to hold Putin accountable for the illegal war against Ukraine and the war crimes committed by the Russian regime.
