The Toronto Public Transportation Committee announced the suspension of operation of 41 bus stations starting today, Friday, due to the severe snowstorm.
It also clarified that it is difficult for buses to move in this weather, and to protect lives, and due to road blockages, it was necessary to issue decisions that align with the current weather for public safety, while this decision continues until further notice.
The decision will come into effect starting from 5 a.m. today, Friday, December 23, until further notice.
As for the streetcars, the vehicles and the overhead network have been treated with an antifreeze application, according to TTC. In case any problems arise, the routes will be maintained with replacement buses.
