The Pakistani police arrested former Prime Minister Imran Khan today, Saturday, August 5, in Lahore following a ruling sentencing him to 3 years in prison.
A Pakistani court sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan to three years in prison this Saturday morning due to corruption charges.
The court convicted Khan for failing to disclose funds received from the sale of gifts he had received while in office.
For his part, Khan, who is seventy years old, denied all the charges against him, rejecting them and stated that he would appeal the ruling.
Immediately after the ruling was issued, Khan was detained and transferred from his home in Lahore.
