The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf announced the allocation of 30 million Egyptian pounds from its own resources to contribute to the aid provided by Egypt to the countries of Libya, Morocco, and Slovenia, which have experienced natural disasters ranging from earthquakes to floods.
The ministry clarified – in a statement today, Tuesday, that "10 million pounds have been allocated as part of the assistance directed to our brothers in Libya due to the severe cyclone that struck some of its regions, and another 10 million pounds allocated as part of the assistance directed to our brothers in Morocco due to the earthquake that affected some of its areas, and a third 10 million to Slovenia due to the floods that struck the country, within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts in assisting brotherly and friendly countries that have faced or are facing accidents or emergency disasters."
The ministry emphasized that "the time has come to put the outcomes of the climate conference in Sharm El Sheikh into action, and to combine international efforts to confront the challenges of climate change and its devastating effects that have started to fiercely strike wide areas of the globe and threaten many countries around the world with an unprecedented threat, which makes it an imperative duty to confront the effects of climate change and work to limit its encroachments and the factors influencing it, in which everyone must cooperate, especially the major countries that have a significant impact on the influencing factors."
