The Canadian Ministry of Health approves the updated coronavirus vaccine from Moderna.

The Canadian Ministry of Health has approved the updated coronavirus vaccine from Moderna for all Canadians aged six months and older.

The mRNA-based monovalent vaccine targets the Omicron XBB.1.5 subvariant.

The Canadian Ministry of Health's page on Moderna vaccines states that it may be given to individuals who have been previously vaccinated or who have not been previously vaccinated.

Federal officials are scheduled to provide a technical briefing on coronavirus vaccines today, Tuesday.
