One of the hospitals in Brampton has asked patients to seek care elsewhere due to the large number.
The William Osler Health System stated in a tweet on Saturday that "Peel Memorial's urgent care center is facing a large number of patients and long wait times for patients to see a doctor."
In the tweet, the healthcare provider advised that infants six months old or younger should visit their nearest emergency department.
The hospital representatives did not immediately respond to CP24's request for further comment.
