Four teenagers were seriously injured after their jet skis collided on a lake in Penticton, British Columbia, on Friday.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they received a call around 8 p.m. reporting an incident on Skaha Lake.
The injured were subsequently taken to the hospital, where one tragically died - a 14-year-old girl from Alberta - due to her injuries.
The police stated that the other three youths were treated for serious injuries, but their lives were not in danger, and they have since been discharged from the hospital.
The police also added that the investigation is still underway, but no foul play is suspected, and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the incident.
