After supporting the Israeli narrative regarding the bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, U.S. President Joe Biden reaffirmed his country's support for Israel from Tel Aviv.

In a brief press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden told his host that the United States "will continue to support Israel as it defends its people"

He also reassured Netanyahu by saying, "You are not alone; we are with you and behind you." He emphasized that Israel is not alone and that his country continues to support it. He added, "We stand with you in defending Israel's freedom today, tomorrow, and forever."

A Different Kind of War

For his part, Netanyahu again held Hamas responsible for the escalation in Gaza, stressing the need to hold it accountable. He stated that his country would try to avoid civilian casualties in its war against Gaza, which he described as difficult due to the tactics of the Palestinian Hamas movement.

He also added, "This will be a different kind of war because Hamas is a different kind of enemy," according to his expression.

Biden had hinted earlier, shortly after arriving in Tel Aviv on a visit of support and solidarity, about the involvement of Palestinian factions and Hamas in the bombing that targeted the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza on Tuesday evening, which resulted in nearly 500 casualties.

This was condemned by Hamas, which considered that the continued adoption of the Israeli narrative by the U.S. administration is participation in the massacres of Israel and specifically the massacre of the Baptist Hospital.

This came after the Israeli army claimed that the Islamic Jihad fired a rocket from a location near the hospital, but it hit it by mistake.

It also presented aerial images indicating that the damage to the hospital could not have been caused by an airstrike, according to its assertion.
