The Canadian Ministry of Environment has issued a special weather statement for the London area where Monday is expected to be hot.
The weather observatory warns the areas of London, Parkhill, East and West Middlesex, Komoka, and Strathroy of increasingly hot and humid weather from Monday to Tuesday, with temperatures reaching nearly 30 degrees Celsius in many areas with a drop at midnight.
Maximum temperatures on Tuesday will be in the thirties, and a drop is expected on Wednesday.
The observatory warns that these weather conditions pose a health risk when you are not accustomed to the heat. While everyone is at risk, it is greater among the elderly, infants, young children, and people with chronic illnesses.
Drinking plenty of fluids and wearing weather-appropriate clothing are some ways to help prevent heat strokes.
