Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday morning that "Russia does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territories," coinciding with his announcement of the start of an operation in Donbas.

Putin held "the Ukrainian regime responsible for any bloodshed that occurs," urging "Ukrainian soldiers to immediately lay down their arms and return to their homes."

Putin said that the leading countries of the "NATO" alliance support the neo-Nazis in Ukraine," adding that "Russia has no option other than to defend itself, and it will use it."
