Russia and Turkey are discussing a joint government agreement on cooperation in space research

Agencies: The press office of the Russian Space Agency "Roscosmos" said that a delegation from Russia discussed with the management of the Space Agency and the Ministry of Industry in Turkey the preparation of a joint government agreement on cooperation in space.

The press office stated that the Russian delegation, headed by the representative of the Russian President for international cooperation in space, and the Director General of the state corporation Dmitry Rogozin, also discussed with the Turkish side cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

Both parties identified promising areas for bilateral cooperation in space, as well as practical steps for its implementation.

The press office confirmed that this document should become the legal basis for further joint work between Russia and Turkey in outer space.
