The German Foreign Ministry stated that the building housing the German consulate in the Ukrainian capital was hit by a Russian missile strike.
Several missiles struck central Kyiv early Monday morning, October 10, 2022, with the first explosions recorded at a stadium and near Kyiv National University.
At least eight people were confirmed killed in the raids, but the number is believed to be higher.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the strikes targeting several areas in Ukraine on Monday "achieved their goal," after Ukrainian officials reported disruptions to energy and water facilities.
It said, "The target of the strikes was achieved, all targets were hit," after Ukraine announced that Russia launched more than 80 missiles on Monday morning.
