The musical "Chicago," which achieved overwhelming success on Broadway, will return to Toronto at the end of the year.
Mirvish Productions says, "The musical will be presented at the Ed Mirvish Theatre from December 27 to January 6."
The show is touring to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Broadway revival in 1996, with additional stops planned in Boston and Denver. This will be the eighth time the show is in Toronto, having first premiered in Canada in 1977.
The revival also stopped in Toronto in 1998, with tickets selling for 10 weeks, and has been performed several times over the following decades. Tickets for the production go on sale Thursday.
