Sonny's Restaurant on Weber Street was put up for sale earlier this week, listed at $2,995,000.
The ad describes it as a "great property and business scenario," saying "the business generates substantial profits and pays a net rent of $72,000 / annually."
Sonny's has been operating since 1965. Paul Nosis, who now owns Burger, took it over from the original owners 13 years ago.
Nosis said he is selling the Weber Street property because he wants to retire and spend more time with his children. He hopes the new buyer will keep the restaurant running.
Nosis added, "The same thing when I took over from the previous owners, their goal was to sell it to someone who will continue it as the property will be in the hands of the buyer, I cannot then stop them from how they act on it, it will be up to them what they do next."
He hopes that Sonny's legacy continues, and that the famous onion rings and burgers keep feeding people for many years to come.
