The title, release date, and cover for Prince Harry's upcoming memoir have been revealed. The release will cover his royal life including the death of his mother Princess Diana and his need to attend her funeral and walk behind her coffin at only 12 years old, among many other things.
The book description says: "It was one of the most painful images of the twentieth century" Two young princes walking behind their mother's coffin while the world watched in sadness and horror, like Diana, Princess of Wales, billions wondered what the princes must have thought and felt and how their lives would end from that moment onward.
"For Harry, this is finally the story." Sparrow is a prominent publication full of insight, revelation, introspection, and hard-won wisdom about the enduring power of love over grief.
Penguin CEO Markus Dohle said: His company is honored to publish Prince Harry's candid and emotionally powerful story for readers everywhere. He shares with us a profoundly moving personal journey from trauma to healing, a journey that speaks to the power of love and will inspire and encourage millions of people around the world.
The publisher also confirmed "that Prince Harry wishes" to support British charities with donations from his proceeds from Sparrow. "The Duke of Sussex donated $1,500,000 to Sentebale, an organization he co-founded with Prince Seeiso in their mothers' legacy, which supports vulnerable children and youth in Lesotho and Botswana affected by HIV/AIDS.
Prince Harry will also donate £300,000 to the non-profit organization WellChild. WellChild, which has been his royal patron for 15 years, makes it possible to care for children and young people with complex health needs at home rather than in hospital wherever possible.
