The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received today, Thursday, a phone call from the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, during which he offered his condolences and sympathy to him and the people of the UAE on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Trudeau also congratulated Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as President of the United Arab Emirates, wishing him success in leading the country towards new horizons of progress and prosperity in various fields, and expressed his eagerness to work further with him to enhance Emirati-Canadian relations in various areas.


For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister of Canada for his kind feelings and wished him good health and wellness and for friendly Canada continued goodness and prosperity, emphasizing the UAE's keenness to strengthen relations between the two countries and expand their horizons in a way that serves the common interest.
