Travelers can now fly from the capital Ottawa to Vancouver on Porter Airlines, which launched its services between Ottawa International Airport and Vancouver International Airport on Wednesday.

The new route starts with one daily round-trip on the 132-seat E195-E2 aircraft.

The daily flight will depart Ottawa at 6:00 PM and land at Vancouver International Airport at 7:37 PM, and it will leave Vancouver at 7:45 AM and arrive in Ottawa at 4:03 PM EST.

Mark Laroche, President and CEO of Ottawa International Airport, said in a statement: “We are thrilled that the continuous service to Vancouver has become a reality.”

He added: “Porter's growth at Ottawa International Airport is remarkable, and by the end of this summer, they will offer non-stop flights to 11 destinations, spanning across Western Canada, the United States, and the Atlantic.”

Porter had announced on Tuesday that it would launch a service between Ottawa and Edmonton in September.

The airline will also operate 11 non-stop routes from Ottawa, including Toronto, Boston, Charlottetown, Newark, and Thunder Bay.
