In a tweet on the platform X, previously known as Twitter, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said that last night, when Canadians were starting to celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend, Israelis were attacked by the terrorist group Hamas.
He added, "And today, as Canada wakes up to indescribable images of terror, pain, and war, we must stand alongside Israel as it responds to these criminal and cowardly terrorist acts and defends itself from them."
Harper also said, "To friends in Israel and around the world, I want you to know that today and always, through fire and water, Canada will stand with you."
It is notable that Mr. Harper did not mention in his aforementioned tweet the Palestinian victims who lost their lives as a result of the Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinian civilians.
